Why we are different
Other chargeback tools start when the bank writes. We start before the client pays.
Alerts, dispute services and representment tools all begin once a chargeback exists, and they can only send the evidence you have that day. For a service business that is usually an invoice and a few emails. Winning Disputes builds the defence first, as each step happens, so it is already on file when a dispute lands.
Two timelines
Where each kind of tool shows up
From the first agreement to the dispute response. The evidence that decides a service dispute is created in the first five columns.
| Agreement signed | Identity matched | Invoice paid | Work delivered | Client confirms | Chargeback arrives | Response due | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Winning Disputes | Recorded | Matched | Locked until both | Logged, with receipts | Confirmed | Pack ready | Submitted |
| Most dispute tools | Not involved | Not involved | Not involved | Not involved | Not involved | Starts here | Builds a response |
Why after is too late
Evidence cannot be created after the fact
A parcel has a tracking number from the moment it ships. A service has nothing, unless someone records it at the time. Once a client disputes the charge, the agreement they never signed, the delivery nobody logged and the confirmation they never gave cannot be added, and a document written after the dispute carries little weight with the analyst.
Tools that start after the chargeback are only as good as the records you kept. Winning Disputes is how the records get kept.
Every engagement collects the same proof in the same order, before the invoice is paid and while the work is delivered. When the bank writes, nothing needs to be found, rebuilt or explained.
Before the money moves
What is already on file
Agreement, signed
Name, email, IP address, time and version recorded, with a copy to both of you. Nothing is invoiced before this.
Identity, matched
An ID photo and a selfie, matched to the signer and to the card that pays. "It wasn't me" has nowhere to go.
Delivery, logged
Every file and call summary sent as a dated, fingerprinted message with an open receipt. For a service, this is the tracking number.
Completion, confirmed
The client confirms in one click that the work is done. "Not received" is answered by their own words.
Side by side
After the chargeback, or before it
| Most dispute tools | Winning Disputes | |
|---|---|---|
| When it starts | When the bank sends the chargeback | When you send the agreement, before the client pays |
| Evidence it works with | Whatever you can find on that day | A signed agreement, a matched ID, a dated delivery log and the client's confirmation, each recorded as it happened |
| Built for | Online shops, where a tracking number proves delivery | Service businesses, where nothing proves delivery unless it was recorded |
| How it usually charges | A share of what it wins back, often 20 to 30%, or a fee per alert | A flat monthly or yearly plan |
| The next dispute | Starts from zero again | Arrives with its file already complete |
When a dispute still arrives
You answer it with a file, not a search
Pick the reason code on the bank's notice and download the dispute pack: a response written for that code, followed by the agreement, the identity match, the invoice, the delivery log and the client's confirmation as exhibits.
See plans and pricing →Want a specialist to write it? The expert dispute response is US$199 per dispute, one fee, with no share of what you win back.
Keep your alerts if you use them. Winning Disputes makes sure there is something worth sending. For a dispute on an older sale, start with the free reason-code lookup and rebuttal letter builder.
Start before the next one
Your next invoice is your next chance to build the file
Set-up takes minutes: your business details, then the first agreement link to a client.
Get startedQuestions
Does Winning Disputes replace chargeback alerts or dispute services?
No. Alerts and dispute services act once a dispute exists, and they can only send the evidence you already have. Winning Disputes works earlier, so that evidence exists. Keep your alerts if you use them.
Can it help with a dispute I already have?
It builds evidence for engagements you run through it, from the agreement onwards. For a dispute on an older sale, the free reason-code lookup and rebuttal letter builder help with the response, and the next client starts with a full file.
Does it guarantee I win?
No one can. Card issuers decide. Winning Disputes makes sure the records that decide service disputes are collected every time, at the time, and presented the way the analyst reviews them.
Who is it for?
Consultants, coaches, agencies, freelancers, tutors and practices that take card payments for services, and have no tracking number to show when a client disputes the fee.
